Gladiaxy mini-game : battle arena card

Our latest version of the game

Game concept

Fast-paced duel card game using NFT's attribute to create a game deck

The requirement

  1. You need at least six cards to build a deck to play. One Gladiaxy NFT has eight attributes: Head, Arm, Shoulder, Body, Back, Weapon, Drone, and Background. In this version, you can convert every attribute except background to a card and build a deck to play. So you need at least one Gladiaxy NFT to play. You cannot put the same type of card in the same deck.

  2. You can now play only on pc web browsers that support WebGL 2.0. There might be some new mobile phones that can run our game, but some features might not be available and cause unexpected errors. In the future, we plan to create a dedicated client for PC and Mobile for performance purposes and accessibility.

Game mode

There will be two main modes with off-chain and on-chain features

  1. Player vs AI: play against AI to climb the leader board and get a reward

  2. Player vs Player: play against people to climb the leader board, get a prize or bet your token for the game result.

We will start releasing the game from the off-chain mode. You can import NFT from the blockchain to play; the reward will be on-chain NFT or token but managed by our server.

After the game is balanced and free of serious bugs, we will start developing an on-chain mode for transparency and sustainability.

Game's Rule

(The rules are still in the testing phase, could be changed later)

  1. Everyone needs at least six cards in the deck. You can use more than one Gladiaxy NFT to build a new deck.

  2. Before the game start, the game will activate the passive skill card from the "head attribute card" and remove it from the in-game deck.

  3. The game starts by randomly choosing the first player.

  4. The game will draw six cards face-up and place them on the table for you.

  5. Each card has a skill and attack point, which will be activated after putting the right dice on the card slot.

  6. There are seven types of dice slots. Each card can have more than one slot.

    1. MIN: you need to put at least the minimum number displayed on the slot., For instance, if it shows 4, the lowest amount of dice value you can put on will be 4

    2. MAX: you need to put not more than the number displayed in the slot. For instance, if it shows 3, you can put only 1 or 2 or 3

    3. EXACT : you need to put the same number displayed on the dice slot. If it shows 3 you can put only 3 no less or more.

    4. EVEN: you can put any even number dice on

    5. ODD: you can put any odd number dice on

    6. ANY: you can put any dice on

    7. COUNTDOWN: you can put any dice on; the dice value will reduce the number on the slot you place on. When it reaches zero or less, it will be activated. For instance, if it shows 10, you can place dice number 5, dice number 3, and dice number 2 then the dice slot will be activated.

  7. Each player has two main stats; the "Health point" and the "Shield point". Most attacks will be deducted by the shield point before reaching the health point, but some cards might pass through it.

  8. When your turn starts, you will receive new random dice. The first player will receive 2 dice, the second player will receive 3 dice, then the amount of dice you receive will increase each turn by following the below table. The amount of dice you receive each turn:

Turn 1: First player: 2, Second player: 3

Turn 2: First player: 3, Second player: 3

Turn 3: First player: 3, Second player: 4

Turn 4: First player: 4, Second player: 4

Turn 5: First player: 4, Second player: 5

Turn 6: First player: 5, Second player: 5

Turn 7: First player: 5, Second player: 6 Right now the dice are capped at 9 dice but will be uncapped on the later version of the demo.

  9. After receiving all dice, the card aura will glow in white color, indicating the player can play now. The player can activate the card by placing dice on the dice slot of the card. The dice must match the condition of the dice slot. Otherwise, it will return to the dice tray area. The dice placed on the slot will be locked forever; you cannot remove them. The card will be activated immediately after you put all dice on the dice slots.

  10. Most of the cards can be played once each turn, after activating the card, if its aura changes to black, it indicates that you cannot it again in this turn. If you place the dice on it, it will be activated automatically at the beginning of the next turn.

  11. You have 50 seconds(might be changed later) to play for each turn. If the time run out, it will end your turn immediately.

  12. You cannot save the dice for the next turn, if you have the dice left on the dice tray at the end of the turn, it will be removed before the beginning phase of the next turn.

  13. When you have no move and decide to end the turn, you can press on "End Turn" button or wait until the time run out.

  14. The game ends whenever someone gets a zero health point or both players pass the seventh turn, the player who has more health will be the winner.
